We knew as soon as we visited Lough Cutra that we wanted our wedding reception to take place there. Since our wedding, we have continued to receive compliments about our choice of venue, particularly our guests from abroad who were bowled over by the setting. The terrace proved ideal for the drinks reception and the beautiful rooms inside were the perfect layout for dinner, dancing and relaxing. We also took the three guest cottages for a week to accommodate both families which was a great idea, as everyone had a chance to get to know each other and relax. Everyone was thrilled with the cottages which were so spacious and well equipped. During the run up to the day, Edward was both patient and helpful with all our questions and his recommendations for catering and bar service were a complete success. London. 23rd June 2007 We had the privilege of sharing Lough Cutra Castle with our friends and family to celebrate our marriage. Well it is hard to put into words just how magical our day was. One guest said to me on the day Who needs romance novels and movies when you can have this? I think that just sums it up! It is romantic, intimate, and familiar all at the same time. All our guest felt part of an exclusive and very private day full of happiness and celebration. The beauty of having your event at the Castle is that the day is truly yours. You can plan every thing and time it as it suits you rather than a hotel/public premises. I cannot praise the staff at Lough Cutra for making us all feel so welcome. Edward was fantastic, before, during and after the celebrations. Everything happened just as he predicted, only better! Take his advice, the man is a diamond, and an excellent wedding planner in disguise! We took all his suggestions on board and I am so happy we did. The staff, caterers, bar, etc etc that he recommended were superb. Lough Cutra was truly ours for a day but we will always treasure it! Just thinking back on the day now I am tearing up! I really want to thank you for everything you did for us throughout our stay... the castle is the most perfect place to have a wedding and the cottages couldn't have worked out any better.
