Great dinners were had in the dining room with the fireplace and good wine and pints of Guinness embellished the evenings. Memories are not just of sights we experienced throughout beautiful Ireland but the real connection with family and my kids sense of history is the memory I was hoping for. Thanks for helping us with that.
This is a really large self catering house that fronts onto two courtyards and can sleep up to eight guests. Formerly tack rooms and stabling for the Estate's many horses, it was originally converted in the 1920's. Thus, like Cormorant Cottage, it has many original features, such as oak floorboards from the Castle dining room and fireplaces from the bedrooms of the Castle. We have furnished and decorated sympathetically allowing guests to experience the history of the estate, but with 21st Century conveniences.
