Lough Cutra Castle and Estate has a long and varied history with both highs and lows, including famine relief to the billeting of soldiers, a period as a convent and life as a private home. It was designed by John Nash who worked on Buckingham Palace, and was visited by guests such as Lady Augusta Gregory and WB Yeats.
